FAQ's

What does "Bags" mean?

"Bags" in our event title refers to Cornhole bags. "Brews" refers to that delicious libation made of water, yeast, malt & hops.

I'm not playing cornhole or drinking… Do I need a ticket?

YES. "DD/Spectator" tickets will be for sale for those not participating in either event. Remember, this event is organized to raise money for charity… your ticket is your contribution!

I purchased a Brews ticket… What do I get with that?

Each brewery will be giving out samples of their delicious craft brews in 4 oz servings. With your ticket purchase, you may sample as many as you choose in your Lake Norman Bags & Brews Fest souvenir mug! That being said, please remember to drink responsibly! Our breweries reserve the right to refuse service to anyone acting or appearing to be intoxicated.

I purchased a VIP ticket… when can I drink?

12pm – VIP ticket holders will receive a special wristband to signify to the breweries you can start drinking early! All other ticket holders must wait until 1pm.

I lost my Lake Norman Bags & Brews mug… Can I get another?

Hold onto that mug! If you lose it, you can purchase another mug as long as your wristband is still intact for $7.00.

Will children be allowed at the event?

Unfortunately, no – kids are great but they don't belong at a beer festival.

Will anyone under 21 be admitted (even to just play cornhole)?

No. ALL ID's will be checked at the entrance gate. Those who purchased a ticket to drink will be given a wristband after their age has been verified.

Will tickets be for sale locally or online only via EventBrite?

Tickets will be for sale at Ultimate Ales in Mooresville, NC (134 Suite C Mooresville Commons Way). Save yourself ticket fees via EventBrite use the cash on a cold brew at Ultimate Ales instead while getting your ticket!

Do I need to bring my confirmation page and/or ticket?

While it is always good to have that on hand, there will be a list of paid ticket holders, including those purchased at Ultimate Ales, at the entrance gate. In order to protect against fraud & photocopied tickets, your name (or the ticket purchaser's name) must be on the list.

Will there be bathrooms?

Yes, there will be plenty of clean Port-A-Johns to meet your needs.

Should I bring cash?

It's not a bad idea! While most vendors will be able to process credit/debit cards there may be a few that are cash only. Don't limit yourself!

What if it rains?

Spring showers are always a possibility. This festival is RAIN OR SHINE – with crossed fingers for nothing but shine! In the event of rain, there will be a covered area for shelter or to just sit down & take some time away from the sun.

Will food be provided?

Local food trucks will be on site to satisfy your food cravings. Your ticket does not include food.

Can I re-enter the festival after I leave?

We would love to have you hang out all day with us but if you must leave the perimeter of the festival, MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR HAND STAMPED upon leaving. This is your golden ticket and the ONLY way you will be allowed back in.

I purchased a ticket to drink but forgot my ID – Can I get in?

No – Only those with valid ID's will be allowed into the festival. Go home and get it.

I purchased tickets but I will not be able to attend – Can I get a refund?

No – All ticket sales are final. Give them to some friends to enjoy… either way, you've donated to a worthy cause!

We would love your support! Please contact us via the form on the website or email us at lakenormanbagsandbrewsfest@gmail.com

Will all cornhole boards and bags be regulation?

Yes – thanks to Nathan Lowe of Blue Ridge Cornhole!

Will prizes be awarded to cornhole winners?

Of course! Prizes will be awarded to 1st ($500), 2nd ($300), 3rd ($150) and to keep up with tradition, last place.

I am a vendor, when can I set up?
